What These Numbers Mean

Even when we receive a valid legal demand, the only data we hold is a hashed credential, subscription status, and payment metadata (see our Privacy Policy). We retain no browsing history, DNS queries, or connection logs β€” so there is nothing of that nature to produce, regardless of the request.

Our Methodology

  • Every legally binding request is logged and counted, even if we ultimately produce nothing.
  • Informal or invalid requests are rejected and not counted as compelled disclosures.
  • Where law permits, affected users are notified.
  • Numbers are reconciled against our warrant canary before publication.

Our Standing Commitment

We will continue to design our systems so that the honest answer to β€œwhat can you give us?” is β€œalmost nothing.” That is the strongest privacy guarantee we can offer β€” not a promise, but an architecture.
